Terms of Service

Welcome to Promptbook ("Service", "we", "us"). By accessing or using promptbook.online, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Promptbook, you confirm that you:

  • Are at least 13 years old
  • Have the legal capacity to enter this agreement
  • Will comply with these Terms and applicable laws

2. The Service

Promptbook is a free tool that allows users to:

  • Save AI prompts privately in their browser
  • Optionally publish prompts publicly for others to view, copy, and vote on
  • Browse, vote on, and copy public prompts created by other users

3. User Accounts

To create public prompts or vote, you must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your Google account
  • All activities under your account
  • Choosing an appropriate display name (no impersonation, offensive language, or trademarks)

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Content & Conduct

You retain ownership of prompts you create. By making a prompt public, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and reproduce it within the Service.

You agree NOT to post content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or hateful
  • Contains sexual content, violence, or content harmful to minors
  • Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
  • Contains spam, phishing links, malware, or scams
  • Discloses personal information of others without consent
  • Impersonates any person, brand, or AI service
  • Promotes illegal activities, drugs, weapons, or fraud
  • Generates content that violates the terms of AI services it's used with (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)
  • Attempts to bypass safety features of AI models ("jailbreak" prompts)

5. Content Moderation

We reserve the right (but not obligation) to:

  • Review, edit, or remove any public content at our discretion
  • Suspend or ban users who violate these Terms
  • Cooperate with law enforcement on illegal activity
  • Respond to DMCA takedown notices

To report content that violates these Terms, use the "Report" button on any prompt or email support@promptbook.online.

6. Rate Limits & Fair Use

To prevent spam and abuse, we may limit:

  • Number of public prompts created per day
  • Number of votes cast per day
  • Frequency of API calls or page requests

Bots, scrapers, and automated tools are prohibited without written permission.

7. Intellectual Property

Our IP: The Promptbook name, logo, design, and code are owned by Rise Digital Works. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them.

Your IP: You own your prompts. By making them public, you grant us license to display them as described in Section 4.

Third-party AI models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) and their trademarks are property of their respective owners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

8. AI Output Disclaimer

Prompts on Promptbook are templates designed to be used with third-party AI services. We:

  • Do NOT generate AI responses ourselves
  • Are NOT responsible for the output AI services produce when using our prompts
  • Make NO guarantees about prompt quality, accuracy, or results
  • Are NOT liable for any decisions made based on AI output

Always verify AI-generated content. Do not rely on AI for medical, legal, financial, or critical decisions.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Data will not be lost (always export backups)
  • Public content is accurate, safe, or appropriate
  • Defects will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rise Digital Works and the Service shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business interruption arising from use of the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rise Digital Works from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Illegal activity
  • Repeated reports of abuse
  • Service discontinuation

13. DMCA & Copyright

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Promptbook infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to support@promptbook.online with:

  • Description of the copyrighted work
  • URL of the infringing content
  • Your contact information
  • A statement of good faith belief
  • Your physical or electronic signature

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Significant changes will be announced via the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
